The Magnesia Gate

There were three entrances to Ephesus: The Magnesia Gate (on the way to the House of the Virgin Mary), Koressos Gate (in the back of the stage) and the Harbor.

Magnesia Gate was discovered by the engineer and architect J.T Wood, in 1869, during his search of the Temple of Artemis. The original building must have been built in the Doric style, with a path width of 3.70 meters and a semi-square yard to the city side.
