It is located in a mansion of 150 years, in Mustafapasa (Sinasos), 5 kilometers from Urgup. It is the first of the “handmade museums for kids (handmade baby)” in Turkey and it displays more than 2000 crafts.
The handmade collection for children begins historically with legends and sagas and it extended to the Republican era. In the museum you can find many historical figures such as Yunus Emre, Nasreddin Hodja, Mevlana, Karacaoglan, Koroglu, Dede Qorqut, Asık Veysel, Haci Bektas-i Veli and Koca Yusuf, in different situations.
Also you can see scenes of women in the palace, Istanbul firefighters, traditional clothing, typical circumstances and events that depict daily life from the Ottoman period. With their unique costumes and decorations there are also handmade children from all over the world.
In the museum, which is also one of the best preserved architectural structures of its time in the region, you can see the best examples of the cultural heritage of Cappadocia. With its windows, floor furnace, patio, wood carvings, cabinets and sofas, stone dressings, closets and coves, the mansion has a lovely visual feast, both culturally and historically.
