We have compiled a list of frequently asked questions, if you can not find an answer for what you are looking for, please feel free to contact us for any inquiries.

What day does your cruise begin?

Usually on Saturdays, but at the beginning of the season and in the final straight sometimes is possible to start on a different day.

At what time should we board the gulet?

You can jump aboard around 16:00 pm, if you arrive before that time you have the possibility to leave your luggage in the ship, while the preparations are completed.

At what time do we have to leave the gulet?

On the departure day we will disembark from the gulet after breakfast, around 10:00 in the morning.

Can we choose our own path for the cruise?

Yes, you can choose your own route, but you should consider a flexible voyage due to weather conditions and wind. You also have the option to start the voyage on a port and end it in another. By booking early you will have more options to choose the ports of departure and arrival.

Can we sail for an upper or lower time than the stablished 7 days?

We sometimes may offer sailings below 3 or 4 days, but usually at the beginning of the season and its final time cruises of 8, 10 and 14 days are also possible, please ask us about these possibilities we offer.

Can we sail around the Greek islands?

You can visit the islands off the coast of TurkeyGreek islands, like KosRhodesSymiKalymnosPatmos and Leros. In this case we would ask you to pay the expenses of a Turkish yacht cruise in Greek waters. These itineraries can be found in Greek Islands.

What places we will see from our cruise in motor boat?

A detailed list will be offered in our website, with navigation routes and rental sailboats offers, we can also send you schedules from our rental motor sailors with descriptions of cities, towns and bays.

How often do we stop and take the anchor? How many hours we sail every day?

We sail every day for a couple of hours, and every day between 2 and 3 bays will be visited.

Does the captain and the crew speak English?

Our captains and crew have some knowledge of English, far enough to communicate with you.

Are we going to be allowed to sail?

Our cruises are normally conducted by motor and only when there is favorable wind sails may be deployed. Please let us know if you are a keen sailor or experienced at the time of your request, this will allow us to suggest a proper boat for you.

During the voyage we can abandon the ship?

It is possible that in some bays we go down to earth with a pneumatic boat, and some nights we will moor in ports where we can get off the boat to explore the area in a walk.

Can we hire tours to places of interest when we come down to earth, during our gulet cruise?
Yes, it is possible, there are many places of interest to visit, you can do independently or we can arrange in your booking the organization of vehicles for land circuitslocal guides, or if you prefer it, a guide (for various languages) for all your trip aboard.

What kind of ships are used for sailing cruises? Can you tell us the name of the schooner?

All tours are made with traditional gulets, wooden schooners built mostly in the regions of Bodrum and Marmaris. The ship’s name will not be available before the date of shipment, and it will depend on the number of customers aboard to assign you the most appropriate boat.

Is there a single supplement?

Yes, the single supplement for individual rentals is 70%.

Are there drinks aboard?

You will have a wide selection of drinks aboard. You can purchase suftdrinks and alcoholic drinks that may be paid at the end of your cruise. You pay in cash directly to the captain / crew.

Can we bring our own drinks aboard?

In a private cruise you can bring your own drinks aboard.

Can we bring our own food aboard?

Yes, you can bring your own food aboard, if you decide not to opt for our full board, therefore, we can also help you with your own purchases on your arrival. We can send you a list of those food items you may need and we can buy them and take them to the ship to your arrival. All purchases can be paid upon arrival.

Can you assist us with special diets, vegetarian, gluten free, etc.?

Our chefs have extensive experience in culinary tasks using special diets, if you are vegetarian or allergic to certain foods, please let us know in advance.

How can we get in and out of the sea / water?

There are stairs to enter and exit the water that may be an extension leading to a small platform in the water or, on small boats, there is a staircase that descends directly under the water surface. Some boats have a swim platform at the stern.

Are there towels / linen on board?

In all of our ships we supply shower and hand towels. You will need to bring your own beach/pool towel. The bedding is also provided by us. (In our standard boats once a week there is a change of bed linen and towels).

Can we listen to music in the gulet?

All our gulets are equipped with a CD player and / or MP3 player with a wide selection of music. Feel free to bring your own CDs.

How much money we need to take aboard?

You need money on board for any shore and land excursions you may wish to take, for occasional meals at land (optional), for personal purchases and to pay the bill for the drinks consumed on board at the end of your cruise.

What currency we use to pay our bar bill?

Your bar bill can be paid in USDEuroTurkish Lira, or Sterling Pounds.

How to get from the airport to the gulet / boat?

We offer private shuttle services for our customers, please ask for our prices at the time of booking. All our transfer vehicles have air conditioning.

What should we bring?

Note that you will probably spend most of the time in your bathing suit! For land trips a couple of lightweight pants and shirt or tshirt are advisable. You will also need shoes that can withstand rough roads. In the evenings, especially at the beginning and end of the season may get colder, so you may also need a sweater.

Other items needed are a beach towelsun cream against sunburn, snorkelfins and goggles and a sleeping bag in case you want to sleep on deck. Bring your belongings in a bag rather than a suitcase, because it is easier to store these bags in the cabins.

What kind of power supply does the ships have?

The electricity on most of our boats is 12 or 24 volts. Please note this if you want to take with you rechargeable battery or electric shaverscamcorders, etc. And make sure you have left the hair dryer at home, because it is better to dry your hair in the sun. In most traditional yachts (and all luxury ships) are generators of 220 V, operating a few hours during the day and at night to recharge the batteries, refrigerators, freezers, as well as for air conditioning.

Is a gulet in Turkey an appropiate holiday for young children?

Accompanied by adults, children of all ages are welcome and will positively enjoy the warm waters of the Turkish Aegean and Mediterranean Seas.

What is the best season to cruise?

The months of May and October offer excellent sailing conditions and the opportunity to go hiking or fishing. The July and August days are long and hot, and the nights are warm. June, early July and every day of the month of September offer a better combination, with warm days and cool nights. Water in September can be very warm in some places. Between late July and early September Turkey is at its peak summer occupation bringing thousands of tourists to the coastal regions.

What are the typical living spaces in a gulet?

An indoor lounge, a deck that is made in the alcazar stern of the boat to eat and rest in the shade of an awning and a foredeck with numerous sun loungers shaded by a canopy when the boat is not sailing.

Do all cabins have private bathrooms?

All cabins have their own bathroom (shower and toilet), showers vary in style, some are normal and some schooners showers have shower cubicles. Luxury gulets have shower cubicles, some bathrooms have hairdryer, jacuzzi shower and / or tub and sauna.

Are there water sports facilities in the boats?

In most traditional yachts there are canoes, diving equipment and fishing equipment aboard. Our luxury gulets offer a variety of water sports including kayaking, windsurfing, water skiing, canoeing, wakeboarding and diving. For those sports that require the use of fuel and zodiac you should pay an additional amount which can be paid to the crew. Please ask about special requests in advance.

Are there games / TV on board?

There is a small selection of board and card games on boats and in most traditional yachts there is a TV and CD / DVD in the living room. In luxury yachts are normally given: satellite TV, HD TV / DVD, DVD / CD player in the lounge and cabins.
